Gentle Osteopathic Care for Babies and Children

Treatment is extremely gentle and responsive to what your child’s body needs. The focus is on comfort, mobility, and supporting healthy development.

Feeding Comfort and Oral Tension

Babies often experience natural tension in the jaw, neck, ribcage, or floor of the mouth due to pregnancy positioning, birth mechanics, or feeding posture.

Parents may notice difficulty maintaining latch or bottle position, clicking or fatigue during feeds, preference for feeding on one side, head-turning patterns, or rib tightness affecting feeding.

Osteopathy does not diagnose or release tongue ties, but it can support surrounding tension patterns, neck and rib mobility, and comfort before or after a frenotomy if recommended.

Common Reasons Babies Come In

Head-turning preferences, torticollis, digestive tension, unsettled sleep, post-birth strain patterns, and general stiffness.

Toddlers and Children

Support for coordination, posture, movement asymmetry, growing pains, recovery after falls, and early sports-related tension.

What to Expect

Gentle, non-forceful treatment with breaks as needed and simple guidance for comfort and positioning at home.
